Following breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a tour of Old and New Delhi.

Shah Jahan founded the city of Shahjahanabad, now referred to as Old Delhi, in 1648. The famous Red Fort in the heart of Old Delhi was once the most opulent fort of the Mughal Empire and it boasts the Diwan-i-Am, Hall of Public Audience, and the Diwan-i-Khas, Hall of Private Audience. Opposite the Fort is the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, built by Shah Jahan to dominate his city.   Embark on a captivating journey that begins at the iconic Jama Masjid, where you will then take a leisurely cycle rickshaw ride through the charming backstreets of Old Delhi.   Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy and rich history of this ancient city, while indulging in a delectable tasting of famous street food of Delhi like Jalebi (Funnel cake) & Samosa.  Next, marvel at the grandeur of the majestic Red Fort as you drive by, before delving into the architectural splendor of Lutyen’s Delhi. Explore the elegant India Gate, a poignant War Memorial Arch, and pass by the stately Rashtrapati Bhawan – the President’s Residence, the imposing Parliament House, and other significant Government buildings nestled in the heart of New Delhi.

From here you will drive to Humayun’s Tomb - the second Mughal emperor’s mausoleum or the blueprint of the Taj Mahal. It is one of the best Mughal buildings in India and an introduction to Mughal architecture.   Before we conclude the day, visit to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Sikh Temple), where you will have an opportunity to see the holy shrine of Sikhs. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is blessed by the eighth Guru of Sikhs – Guru Harkrishan Sahibji. DAY 4: AGRA – RANTHAMBORE

Proceed for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal (remains closed on Friday). Visit the spectacular Taj Mahal with its perfect symmetry and romantic history. Described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, this stunning mausoleum has be-come the de facto tourist emblem of India. It was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Later, return to the hotel for breakfast before you head to Ranthambore, which is approximately 280 kilometres away and will take around 5 and a half hours. On the way, be sure to stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, a historic city with a rich cultural heritage. Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned red sandstone city constructed by Emperor Akbar as his capital, was a veritable fairytale. Its ruins remain in remarkable condition, allowing us to envision the grandeur of court life during its heyday. On your arrival in Ranthambore, check-in at the hotel.

Ranthambhore National Park, once a princely game conserve is the scene where the celebrated Indian tigers are best seen. It lies on the junction of Aravali and Vindhyas just 14 Km from Sawai Madhopur in Eastern Rajasthan. It sprawls over a varying and undulating landscape. The scenery changes dramatically from  the gentle and steep slopes of the Vindhyas to the sharp and conical hills of the Aravali. A tenth-century fort also blends amicably with the background. Pure sands of Dhok (Anogeissus pendula) interspersed with grasslands at the plateaus, meadows in valleys and luxuriant foliage around the canals make the jungle. Three big lakes – Padam Talab (meaning Lake), Malik Talab and Raj Bagh – are similar turquoises studded in the vast forest that abounds with aquatic vegetation including duckweeds, lilies and lotus.

A significant geological feature within the park is the ‘Great Boundary Fault’ where the Vindhaya plateau meets the Aravali range. The Rivers Chambal in the South and the Banas in the North bound the National Park. The park is dotted with steep rocky hills and the dominating architecture of Ranthambhore Fort (built in the 10th century), adds  to  its  landscape.  The  rugged  park  terrain  alternates  between  dry  deciduous  forest,  and  open  grassy meadows, dotted by several lakes and rivers that are only made passable by rough roads built and maintained by the Forest Service. The tiger is not the only attraction at Ranthambhore. A variety of birds including owlets, the ubiquitous  langur  (monkey),  leopard, caracal,  hyena, jackal,  jungle  cat, marsh crocodiles,  wild  boar,  bears and various species of deer are the other attractions.

Before the City Palace was built in Jaipur, Amer served as the seat of power. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the tranquil Moat Lake. Ruins and remains are scattered across the Aravalli hills, and sprawling crenellated walls encircle the area. To reach the main gate, visitors can ascend the fort in jeeps.
