Oslo is situated on the apex of the journey through the Skagerrak Strait close to the border of Sweden. The city centre is a fairly short walking distance from the Cruise Terminal. The redbrick Town Hall is the city's most familiar landmark and definitely visit the VIKING SHIP MUSEUM, to see three Viking long ships (dated 800 - 900 AD) unearthed in the 19th century. Also Akershus Castle is well worth a visit full of secret passages, crypts, dungeons and magnificent halls.
